VISÃO-BES FOTOJORNALISMO - Award Design

2007

Product Design

The awards reference the sepia lenses that photographers wore hanging from their chests to visualize the hues of black and white photography. This is part of the appropriation of components and accessories that make up photographic equipment, in a ready-made approach. The choice of lenses that make up the "objective" references colour photography, through the use of coloured filters, and the specific characteristics of the objective lens, through a graduated colourless lens. These parts are detachable and interchangeable, completely like the original equipment. The pieces were crafted using goldsmithing techniques, bringing this object closer to the preciousness of trophies or medals. The "objective" lenses were engraved with the names of the awards and the themes of the honourable mentions, and the metal rings with the award logos.
