This chair, said to be a direct legacy of the Romans' stay in Monchique, is also known as the Savonarola or Dante chair (Italy, 15th century), or the Monchique chair. The idea here is to update a traditional piece, revising its dimensions to a 40 x 40 cm bench and side table and freeing the legs from their traditional "crossbar." The table now appears more similar to contemporary objects, with its more pronounced zigzag construction, lighter, smaller, and easier to transport.
