This set aims to illustrate tea customs in contemporary China, communicating to the Portuguese how to prepare and drink tea correctly. This work was based on a study trip to China, Beijing, and Jingdezhen, seeking inspiration from the traditional forms and rituals that still exist in the daily lives of the contemporary Chinese. Its forms are inspired by those of the Song Dynasty, where, according to collector Francisco Freire, the sophistication of objects and aesthetic concerns in everyday life were especially cultivated. The set will have a summer and a winter version, and the suggested colors are white and jade green.
